Večno rastemo, večno ekspandiramo ~ We’re forever growing and expanding

Prijatelji, pomembno obvestilo imam.

Svet. Naš dom. Brez meja, se spomnimo? Ves svet je naš dom, topel in domač.

To je sicer res, toda še pred sedmimi leti to ni držalo; nekje v srednji šoli sem namreč začela pesniti, pisati in celo razmišljati v angleščini.

Z ljubeznijo,

Tamara

Dearest friends, I have a very important announcement for you today.

Out of two reasons, the posts in this precious depository of my creative outpourings, will be in English as well. Why is that?

  1. Pourquoi pas? I like to think of myself and others as predominantly beings with an unmeasurable ability of growth and expanse. I think this is the nature of a human who is opening their heart, for he sees the unlimitedness of it all. Nothing is truly mine and there is nothing to hold on to; there is, rather, the power in embracing the flow of energy, letting it mix with our unique blend of potentials, and then letting go of it. It will flow to the world, our home, so warm and cosy. No limits, right?
  2. It is Robert and Silvia’s fault. They are our relatives from Spain, whom me and Svarun visited last spring. Their hospitality was outstanding so in return I willingly started cooking for us all; this all felt really good after six weeks of Tenerife with no kitchen, no stove, and oftentimes even no fireplace. Now, Robert and Silvia are no cooks, they’ll tell you themselves – but they do like to eat good. And ever since I managed to convince them that cooking healthy and good can be really easy, they insisted I start my blog in English as well, so all the other sheep, who unfortunately don’t speak Slovene, can benefit. “English?!” I was shocked “but I love writing in Slovene”. This might be true now, I do love writing my poems and essays in Slovene, but only seven years ago, things were different. Somewhere in high school I started writing and thinking all my voluntary thoughts in English. This lasted quite a few years, until I finally met someone who pointed me to the beauty of Slovenian written word (thank you, by the way). And now, ladies and gentleman, I challenge my creativity to hold my Slovenian pen in one hand, and reach the English keyboard with the other. I feel a lot of fire, so I’m pulling my socks on. To be continued …

Love,

Tamara
